OVERVIEW
This forum was a sequel to the meeting held in Luxembourg in May 2000, titled “New Thinking For A New Millennium: Education For The Knowledge-Based Economy.”
Ninety participants — including members of the academia and education policy makers — attended the two-day meeting to discuss the following topics;
– Visions and future directions of education
– Current status and problems concerning education
– Development of educational systems
They also gave suggestions on better equipping students with the skills required in a knowledge-based economy.
