Coding has become part of the current generation’s literacy. With technology shaping our world, learning coding empowers people to participate in and contribute to today’s developments. In many Asian and European countries, the subject of Coding has therefore been more and more integrated into the curriculum: The question of “How to work with a computer” has been expanded to “How does a computer work and how can you make the computer work for you”.
The 12th ASEF Classroom Network Conference will take place from 16-20 November 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Tackling “Coding for Education”, the Conference will promote the topic of coding and usage of technology and online-based tools in secondary and high-school education through the sharing of good practices, case studies and the training and guidance by technology & education experts. Attracting about 100 teachers from 51 ASEM member countries, the conference is also a platform for teachers to initiate collaborations and jointly develop online projects across both regions.
The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) organises the 12th ASEF Classroom Network Conference in cooperation with 32 Secondary Language School “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
