Jakarta, 23 April 2024 – ASEF joined the launch ceremony of its Stockpile Project for Strengthening Preparedness and Response to the COVID-19 and other Emerging Infectious Disease in Indonesia. Through a two-year partnership, a total of USD 10 million was committed with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), this initiative focuses on bolstering readiness and response efforts in five partner countries namely, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the Philippines. The launch event was conducted in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross Society (Palang Merah Indonesia). The fund for this project is supported by Government of Japan.
