As ASEF has been a strong supporter of the SHARE Programme and its contributions to strengthening people-to-people connection in the field of Higher Education, Ms Reka TOZSA (Acting Director, Education) & Ms Freya CHOW-PAUL (Youth Project Coordinator) were happy to be invited to facilitate and support the development of this alumni network with a group of 20 steering committee members. Through 2 days of workshops, they led the group through different exercises to finetune an Action Plan, formalise the structure of the steering committee, and write a declaration of commitment. By the end of the programme, the group had formalised the South East Asian Students Alumni Network (SEASAN) and presented their declaration and Action Plan to SHARE and the other attendees. You can read their declaration here.
The SHARE Roadshow also brought together representatives from the ASEAN Community of Practise (CoP) to formalise a network and action plan. The ASEAN Community of Practise group are made up of Higher Education Managers and Lecturers from ASEAN universities and aim to strengthen internationalisation within the region. 4 ASEFEdu alumni from the ASEF Capacity Building Workshop: Advancing Inclusion in International Higher Education in ASEAN were part of this cohort.
