The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival titled Cultures Connect took place on 26 & 27 November 2022 in Brussels, Belgium.
ASEF Executive Director, Ambassador Toru MORIKAWA opened the festival on 26 November together with Amb. Nong Sakal, Mission of Cambodia to the EU, and Mr Gunnar Wiegand, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service EEAS.
In his speech, he highlighted the importance of meaningful exchanges and appreciation of artistic diversity from Asia and Europe:
“The title of the festival, Cultures Connect, is embodied in ASEF’s work as we continue to support deeper cultural connections between the peoples of Asia and Europe. Culture has an innate ability to channel human imagination and act as a bridge between diverse ideas and expressions, making the festival a platform for continued dialogue and cooperation”.
The event recording will soon be available here.
