aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1741\"><ul><li>Always use the full name including the acronym, \u201cAsia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)\u201d, wherever possible (in texts, publications, in agreements &amp; ToRs, under the signatory\u2019s names, on forms, etc.). Exceptions: (1) Once the full name is introduced in a text, the acronym \u201cASEF\u201d can be used thereafter; (2) No space available.<\/li><li>In a running text, please mention the full name with the acronym (e.g. \u2019Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)\u2019 in the first instance and then use the acronym (\u2018ASEF\u2019) in subsequent paragraphs. This is only for reports, concept papers, and publications, letters, agreements, ToRs, etc. It does not apply to contents page or programmes when in each mention of ASEF \u2018Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)\u2019 is to be used.<\/li><li>It is \u201cthe Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)\u201d, but only \u201cASEF\u201d (without article; not \u201cthe ASEF\u201d); it is \u201cthe Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM)\u201d, but only \u201cASEM\u201d (without article; not \u201cthe ASEM\u201d).<\/li><li>Remember to always use a hyphen between Asia and Europe when writing \u2019Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)\u2019 or \u2018Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM)\u2019 (but not in the exceptional case of the \u2018Asia Europe Economic Forum (AEEF)\u2019).<\/li><li>Always write out \u2018Board of Governors\u2019 or \u2018Board of Governors\u2019 Meeting\u2019 (not \u2018BoG\u2019) in official external documents.<\/li><li>In all ASEF documents, the following order is to be used: Project name (title) \/ event, date (DD Month YYYY), venue (city, country).<\/li><li>Refer to ASEM Partners as \u201c<strong>ASEM Partners<\/strong>\u201d (<strong>NOT &#8220;ASEM Members&#8221; or &#8220;ASEM countries&#8221;<\/strong>. \u201cASEM countries&#8221; are only 51 and do not involve the ASEAN Secretariat and the European Union).<\/li><li>Include the acronym when referring to ASEM events and initiatives.
